We were nothing, but a young generation spending most of the time at ‘Parar more Adda’ (Hang out at the corner of the neighborhood), ‘Cha er Dokan e Adda’ (Gossip at Tea Stall). But then it was the occurrence of one incident that changed our path when the Malda district was devastated due to uncertain floods in 2017. The Phulhar River had almost touched the extreme danger level, inundating a number of villages and the people were forced to evacuate their own homes and take shelter at higher lands. The misery and cry rolled out in whole of the district which was then we, as the face of Anirban, Susanta, Prasenjit, Krittibas, Sanjoy, Kartick, Saikat, Soumen realized that rather than spending the time at ‘Addas’ it was imperative and the need of the hour to help the people suffering day and night and drive our energy in such constructive work.
